Vegetation Benchmarks Database

Benchmarks are used to measure the condition of vegetation in quantitative terms. A benchmark is a measure of condition against 10 attributes easily measured in the filed. These are the same attributes used to calculate Site Value in the BioBanking Assessment Methodology. Benchmarks are available for each vegetation class (Keith, 2004) in the Vegetation Benchmarks Database.
