Statistics about the Conservation Partners Program

During 2007/2008:

  • 20 new conservation agreements and one addition to an existing agreement were signed, covering 2202 hectares
  • 11 new wildlife refuges were created, and together with additions and transfers these covered 992 hectares.
The following table shows the growth of voluntary conservation agreements and wildlife refuges since June 2003.
