Property registration options for landholders

If you would like to conserve your property's special features, but don't want to sign a legal agreement, you can register your property with us. Two property registration schemes are available in New South Wales:

1. Land for Wildlife

This scheme gives landholders information and support to help them manage wildlife habitat on their property. It also provides opportunities to share experiences with other landholders. Land for Wildlife operates on a regional level, and is only available in the following areas:

  • North-East NSW

    • Ballina
  • Sydney and Surrounds

    • Central Coast
    • Hornsby
  • Western NSW

    • NSW Murray catchment.

2. Conserve Wildlife

In this scheme, landholders register their properties with us by purchasing a 'Conserve Wildlife' sign ($20). They receive issues of 'Bush Matters', the newsletter of the Conservation Partners Program. This is a good option in areas where Land for Wildlife is not available.
