NSW Government Sustainability Policy
The NSW Government Sustainability Policy sets targets and strategies for the NSW Government to lead by example in sustainable water use, reducing greenhouse gas emissions from energy, waste and fleet management and sustainable purchasing.
Addressing climate change and becoming more energy efficient are vital challenges for NSW.
The NSW Government has committed to become carbon neutral by 2020. The first step towards fulfilling this commitment is the NSW Government Sustainability Policy.
- The NSW Government Sustainability Policy sets targets and strategies for reducing energy and greenhouse gas emissions, sustainable water use, waste and fleet management and sustainable purchasing.
- The NSW Government is committed to becoming carbon neutral by 2020, with the operations of the NSW Cabinet becoming carbon neutral from mid-2009.
